Silver Wayuu Planter Basket (large)

£32.00

Bring joy to your home with this one-of-a kind silver patterned handwoven planter basket from Colombia.

Patterns are rarely repeated adding to the uniqueness of these baskets. The geometric pattern and colour contrast makes them stand out however styled; use it as a planter or basket.

They are made by the Wayuu, Colombia's largest indigenous group who live in harsh desert conditions. They are mainly subsistence farmers but long periods of drought means they rely heavily on sales of their artisanal products.

Baskets are made from the native arrow palm.
